Trying out Welle Co Super Elixir‘s delicious chocolate protein powder in my raw brownies this morning was successful. I’d go so far as to say they’re more satisfying than your conventional brownie! These are über antioxidant rich as they contain my usual dose of raw cacao as well as The Super Elixir’s beautiful extras. A formula based on plant based protein it also contains probiotics (gut flora), pea and sprouted rice protein (hair food, all 9 amino acids for muscle repair), B vitamins (mood food), dandelion (liver toning), rose hip (vit C), pomegranate (uv protective), acai (even more antioxidants)…sounds amazing right? 🙂
So onto the recipe!
WelleCo’s NOURISHING PROTEIN in Peruvian Chocolate ~ RAW BROWNIES
1 cup of WelleCo Super Elixir chocolate protein powder
3/4 cup of raw cacao nibs
2 cups fresh raw pecans, walnuts or a mixture of both
2 cups plump medjool dates, pitted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder, or one scraped vanilla pod – optional
1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
1/4 cup extra raw cacao nibs, for sprinkling
Measure out ingredients, and pit medjool dates. Whiz altogether in a strong food processor, for 1 – 2 minutes stopping occasionally to readjust if needed and tweak salt to taste. For crunchier brownies process mixture for a shorter time. When desired consistency, flavour, pour out into a dish, and firmly pat down so brownies bind together.
Sprinkle with raw cacao nibs, and chill! I love these served with a pot of green tea, blueberries and lots of love! ♥ ♥
