Tamarillos are growing…ON MY TREE! So delicious. This strange fruit reminds me of a passionfruit & a tomato, mixed together! Rich in several important vitamins – A, B6, C and E, also in iron & potassium & antioxidants gallore – there’s lots of seeds for extra antioxidants to hide in as well as the vibrantly coloured flesh.

I love eating them as they are, but we have quite a few at the moment so I’m going to add them to leafy green salads in place of tomato, & serve them with yogurt & maple syrup. YUM!
