How are we all on this icy cold Friday morning?…

photo (10)I’m sitting with the open sandstone fireplace crackling behind me with a delicious Hit The Spot Cacao in hand and feeling even happier than usual. An exciting box of goodness arrived at the doorstep this morning, all the superfood greens from Synergy Natural that my family and I can eat, along with sprouted brown rice protein powders from Sunwarrior too! My teenage boys love protein smoothies after school which I make with these organic ingredients:

1 cup fresh my Supergorgeous Almond Mylk (in the book) or my Rawlicious Cashew Mylk (so creamy, goes a long way)

1 – 2 cups alkaline water

2 – 4 bananas or mangoes, fresh or freshly frozen, diced

1 punnet fresh strawberries, optional or 2 tablespoons my Chok Dollop + 1 tablespoon raw cacao nibs for the ultimate chocolate flavour

1 – 2 tablespoons Sunwarrior plain or Vanilla flavoured protein powder

Raw jellybush honey, optional sweetener when using plain protein powder and no Chok Dollop, and I love this for the anti-bacterial benefits in Winter

Vanilla powder if not using Vanilla flavoured protein powder (great if you dislike stevia)

BLEND all ingredients until smooth and creamy. Use more or less Mylk/Water to make it how you like it. Serves 2 extra tall teenage lads! 🙂 <3
